Call for Applications | A summer school on AI, control and tactical opacity

This summer school explores artificial intelligence not only as a technology, but as a structure of power capable of capturing, modelling, predicting and shaping human behaviour.

Participants will engage with modularity as both a thinking system and a way to understand how contemporary power operates and how it might be resisted.

Over the course of the week, participants will:
  • develop new tactics of invisibility and resistance
  • explore strategies to become unpredictable, unclassifiable or unlearnable
  • translate ideas into diagrams, texts, sounds and speculative systems
  • design cognitive machines and conceptual interventions
The summer school does not require coding skills or technical expertise, and focuses on creative and critical thinking.

The call is open to applicants with a background in design, architecture, computer science, artistic practices or related fields (Master’s students, PhD candidates or equivalent), with an interest in AI, speculative design and socio-technical systems.

Participants will be awarded 2 CFUs.

Participation fee
A fee of € 50 is required to cover materials and meals.
10% of the available places will be offered free of charge to participants facing financial difficulties.
