Environmental contaminants: become the experts | Summer School

Environmental contaminants: what are their origins, how can their toxic potential be assessed, and how can they be detected? Is it possible to predict and control all risks? The programme includes a group-based investigation activity aimed at identifying risks associated with a real-life situation.

The course will take place from 22 to 26 June 2026 in Grenoble.

Programme overview
  • Talks and discussions with experts from various fields (introduction to different environmental contaminants, environmental epidemiology, human and environmental health risks associated with plastic pollution, health risks related to environmental exposures, capture and transformation of toxic chemicals in nanoporous materials)
  • Workshops
  • Group projects
  • Visits to laboratories and private companies
For the current edition, funding is available to support the participation of 2–3 highly motivated Master’s or PhD students from UGA partner universities, such as Unite!, in the Summer School. The funding covers registration fees and mobility-related costs (transport and accommodation).
The event will be held in English, and no specific technical background is required.

Application deadline: 15 May 2026.
