Battery Young Researcher Award 2025

The organizing team of the Battery Innovation Days 2025 is glad to inform recent PhD graduates in the field of battery technologies and research that they can APPLY for the Young Research Award.
The Battery Young Researcher Award honours academic excellence and scientific advancements in battery research. The award is organised within the framework of the Battery Innovation Days happening on the 2-3 December 2025, in a hybrid format in Graz, Austria and online, where the winner will be invited to present their thesis.

Eligibity
PhD graduates applying for the Battery Young Research Award must:

• Have successfully delivered their thesis between July 2023 and June 2025;
• Have successfully delivered their thesis to a European Research Institute; or
• Be a European student who delivered their thesis to a University outside the EU.

Application Process
To enter the competition, candidates are invited to submit here the following material in English :

• Your full thesis;
• A two-page abstract presenting the most important aims and conclusions of the dissertation;
• 1 minute and 30 seconds video that best explains your doctorate work;
• A letter of recommendation (2 pages max) from the supervisor.
