Cultural Heritage and Climate Justice

The book launch of The Routledge Handbook on Cultural Heritage and Climate Justice, edited by Mesut Dinler and William Megarry, will take place on 11 May 2026 at 3:00 pm.

The volume represents an interdisciplinary contribution that critically examines the role of cultural heritage within contemporary debates on climate justice, adaptation, and environmental transformation. Through a dialogue between editors, authors, and discussants, the event will explore key themes emerging from the volume, including loss and damage, intergenerational justice, decolonial perspectives, and community-centred approaches to climate action across different geographical contexts.

The event is conceived as an opportunity for interdisciplinary exchange among scholars, contributors, students, and practitioners interested in the role of heritage within emerging climate justice agendas.
