The seminar “From Campus to Commerce: Bridging Academia and Healthcare Industry in the Age of AI” will focus on how academic institutions and industry leaders can collaborate more effectively to foster innovation, address skill gaps, and respond to the evolving needs of the healthcare sector in the era of artificial intelligence.
The session will examine current trends in AI applied to healthcare and will include real-world examples and reflections on how to strengthen cooperation between research and industry.
The event will take place on October 20, 2025, at 1:30 PM (CEST) in Sala Agorà – I3P, Corso Castelfidardo 30/A, Turin.
The invited speaker, Arshad Farhad, is a digital healthcare leader with over 20 years of experience in healthcare IT, AI, and advanced analytics.
After serving in senior leadership roles for 14 years within the NHS, he is currently CTO & Practice Lead for Healthcare and Life Sciences at Dell Technologies (EMEA). He is the inventor of a patented adaptive federated learning method, advisor to national and international organizations including the European Health Data Space, and author of more than 20 research publications.
The seminar will open with remarks by professor Filippo Molinari and will be hosted by Rossella Laurano, Jacopo Secco and Luca Ulrich (Politecnico di Torino).
