Border Abolition Now
The book "Border Abolition Now" presents the argument that abolishing borders is essential to dismantling the structural systems of oppression —racism, classism, sexism, and xenophobia— that borders themselves perpetuate.
Speakers:
Simon Campbell. He is an activist-researcher focusing on border infrastructures, state violence and abolitionist struggles. He has been part of a number of solidarity groups engaged in documenting pushbacks, including the Border Violence Monitoring Network. Simon is currently a PhD candidate at Aston University focusing on the relationship of transport networks and migration.
Francesco Marchi. He is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Bologna. He holds a PhD from the University of Naples L'Orientale. His research focuses on race theory, social reproduction regimes, and the humanitarian government of migration.
