POSTPONED | Between Fiction and Reality: Urban Imaginaries and Climate Emergency
MEETING POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE
The China Room PhD student Valentina Labriola (XXXVIII cycle, Joint Ph.D. program between Politecnico di Torino and Tsinghua University) will discuss her ongoing research with Giorgia Greco and Sofia Nannini.
The research reframes the climate emergency as a catalyst for reimagining architectural practice and design methodologies. It introduces the concept of the imaginary as a transformative tool shaped by human-environment interactions to address the urgent need for innovative responses. By blending constructed projects and fictional images, the study explores interdisciplinary approaches that challenge traditional design, using speculative media to envision and convey change.
Event curated by Camilla Forina and Leonardo Ramondetti.
