Biografia

Martina Mammarella received the B.Sc., M. Sc. and Ph. D., all in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Her domains of expertise are flight mechanics, spacecraft control system, mission and system design. She has been involved in some Italian and European projects on electric space tugs for Deep Space exploration supported by the European Space Agency, Italian Space Agency, and Piedmont region and she collaborated with several European and American Universities and Research Centers for the definition and experimental validation of innovative control techniques for autonomous aerial and space vehicles. She is currently working at the Institute of Electronics, Computer and Telecommunication Engineering of the Italian National research Council, focusing on developing advanced robust and stochastic predictive control techniques for constrained systems. Her research includes also lab and on-field experimental validation of those algorithms for the control of spacecraft and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle dynamics during proximity operations and precision agriculture tasks, respectively.
