Biografia

Lorenzo Locoratolo was born in Milan, Italy. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in September 2021 and his Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in March 2024, completing a thesis titled “A graph-based approach to study muscle coordination during walking in patients affected by Parkinson's Disease.” From May 2024 to October 2025, he worked as a research fellow in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications at Politecnico di Torino, where his research focused primarily on motor control and the effects of dual-task walking in both healthy individuals and people with neurological disorders. He is currently a Ph.D. student in Bioengineering and Medical and Surgical Sciences at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications of Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy. His research interests include biomedical signal acquisition and processing, with a particular emphasis on physiological monitoring in real-world and workplace environments, as well as surface electromyographic signal analysis during gait and motor-cognitive dual tasks.
