Call for applications | International Winter School “Additive Manufacturing: From Theory to Practice”
The Politecnico di Torino is pleased to launch the call for applications for the International Winter School “Additive Manufacturing: From Theory to Practice”, organised by the IAM@PoliTo Interdepartmental Centre and sponsored by the CIM Competence Center.
The Winter School offers an intensive and interdisciplinary programme covering the entire Additive Manufacturing workflow: from materials and process selection to design for AM, process control, post-processing and component characterisation.
The programme combines lectures delivered by Politecnico di Torino faculty and international experts, hands-on activities in the IAM@PoliTo laboratories, collaborative project work and technical visits to laboratories, the competence centre and leading industrial organisations. Participants will apply the knowledge acquired during the School to a real research or industrial case study and present their results during the final session.
The Winter School is open to PhD candidates from Italian and international universities, with a maximum of 20 participants.
The School will take place from 18 to 29 January 2027 at the Politecnico di Torino, with activities held at the Turin and Alessandria campuses. The two-week programme will be organised as follows:
