Publishing about teaching and education: practical advices for engineering fields

A training event organised by the Italian Chapter of the IEEE Education Society, chaired by professor Andrea Mazza from the Department of Energy-DENERG.
The initiative is designed for researchers, professors, and PhD students interested in scientific publishing in the fields of education and emerging learning technologies.
The workshop will provide practical guidance on how to write effective scientific papers, offering useful tips on selecting the right journal, structuring your article, highlighting your results, and navigating the peer review process.

The workshop will be held online on 16 July at 10,30 am with the professor Carina Soledad González-González from Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Revista Iberoamericana de Tecnologías del Aprendizaje (IEEE-RITA).

Biography
Carina Soledad González is Full Professor of Computer Architecture Technology at the Department of Computer Engineering and Systems, University of La Laguna (Spain). She is also the Director of the research group "Interacción, TIC y Educación" focused on the application of artificial intelligence and accessible interfaces in education. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of La Laguna (2001) and a second PhD in Social Sciences and Education from the University of Huelva (2020). She is Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Revista Iberoamericana de Tecnologías del Aprendizaje (IEEE-RITA) and a Senior Member of IEEE. She also holds leadership positions in various academic associations, including the Red Universitaria de Campus Virtuales, the Asociación Interacción Persona-Ordenador (AIPO), and the Asociación para el Desarrollo de la Informática Educativa (ADIE).
Her work has received numerous awards, including the Best Practice in Technology Transfer Award from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (2009) and the IEEE Meritorious Service Award (2020).
