Representing the Human Body in the AI Era: a Data-Centric Approach
A new Ellis Turin Talk titled "Representing the Human Body in the AI Era: a Data-Centric Approach" will be held online on 11 March 2025, with speaker Piera Riccio.
Abstract
In the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI), algorithms significantly influence how human bodies are represented and perceived online, reshaping self-perception, societal norms, and creative expression. We critically examine the interplay between AI technologies and digital aesthetics, focusing on how machine learning algorithms embody, judge and alter human body representations. In particular, we present data-centric investigation efforts around AI-driven beauty enhancements, artistic censorship and image generation.
Speaker: Piera Riccio.
