The objective of the consultancy project was to define the layout and production management logic for the production system of the Cooperativa Sociale Dalla Stessa Parte.
More specifically, the Management and Production Engineering Department team involved in the project:
- verified the main and immediate problems that limit the optimal use of the production system and studied possible alternatives for revising the overall layout in order to optimise the system's production and maximise process flexibility;
- analysed the system's performance, with particular regard to the efficiency and cost/benefit of manual work analysis, evaluating the system's production capacity and productivity;
- evaluated demand management policies and production planning policies, considering resource utilisation, production capacity, system productivity and warehouse and inventory management, as well as order portfolio management and development planning.
