MiraMap is a project of the Department of Architecture and Design (DAD) at Politecnico di Torino, born from two previous experiences, Crowdmapping Mirafiori Sud and MiraMap (1.0).
The project aims to explore the application of ICT, particularly through a collaborative digital platform, to enhance and innovate the forms of interaction and cooperation between Public Administration and citizens within urban regeneration processes. In 2016/2017, MiraMap was included as a specific action in the AxTo (Actions for the Turin suburbs) candidacy dossier, responding to the call from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
The specific objectives include:
- Activation of urban welfare pathways through social innovation actions;
- Involvement of citizens in urban regeneration actions promoted by the Public Administration or by organizations and associations active in the territory.
- Scalability and reproducibility of the model from the neighbourhood scale to the entire city of Turin;
- Interoperability of data with other administrative tools.
