Pietro Micca Tunnels

To address the safety challenges of manual underground inspections, the Centre is exploring the historic Pietro Micca tunnels in Turin using an autonomous rover equipped with a depth camera, sensors, and 2D LiDAR. The exploration leverages cutting-edge technologies for algorithm testing, tunnel mapping, and radio communication, collecting valuable data to support the site's conservation and future public access.
