Startup Call | Italgas and I3P launch a new initiative for the future of energy networks
Within the framework of the open innovation program Ideas 4 Italgas, the Italgas Group and the Politecnico di Torino Incubator (I3P) are launching a new call to identify innovative solutions capable of contributing to the digital transformation of energy infrastructures and the transition towards a low-emission economy.
The initiative is aimed at working groups, startups and established companies developing projects that can enhance the resilience, intelligence and security of gas and water networks, while fostering digitalization, operational efficiency and decarbonization processes.
The call focuses on two main areas: Resilient Grid, dedicated to solutions that make distribution networks smarter, safer and more resilient through digital technologies, artificial intelligence and advanced sensing systems; and Energy Transition, focused on the development of technologies and solutions supporting the transition to low-emission energy systems and the optimization of resource use.
Projects at the Idea stage, with a prototype expected by 2027, MVP (Minimum Viable Product) stage, and Products on the Market, with products or services already commercialized or ready for launch, are eligible to apply.
Selected projects will have the opportunity to collaborate with Italgas and the companies of the Group by developing a Proof of Concept (PoC), accessing mentorship opportunities and evaluating admission to I3P incubation programs, which provide support for entrepreneurial development, fundraising and networking.
Participation is free of charge and applications, in either Italian or English, must be submitted by Friday, 31 July 2026 through the Ideas 4 Italgas website.
Applications will be evaluated by October 2026, while the final award event for the selected projects will take place in Turin in November.
