PoliTO Cinema | Generation Trust
Politecnico di Torino returns with the PoliTO Cinema series. The next event will take place on Thursday, 4 June at 8:30 p.m. in the Aula Magna at Corso Duca degli Abruzzi 24. The documentary film "Generation Trust" produced by Youth4Climate (an initiative promoted by the United Nations Development Programme and the Italian Ministry for the Environment and Energy Security) will be screened. This latest screening of PoliTO Cinema is included in the programme of the 29th CinemAmbiente Festival as a special off-programme event.
What happens when young people are truly trusted to lead change? Generation Trust follows the five winners of the Youth4Climate programme, from Liberia, Uganda, Pakistan, Colombia and Bolivia, as they tackle the climate crisis within their communities. From expanding access to clean energy and sustainable agriculture to creating more resilient livelihoods, each story highlights the courage and creativity of young leaders developing concrete solutions to local and global challenges. Through an intimate and engaging narrative, Generation Trust captures not only their impact, but also their doubts, struggles and resilience, showing that climate leadership is not about perfection, but perseverance. It is a moving and deeply human journey that asks an essential question: what becomes possible when young people are truly given trust and support to take action?
The screening will be preceded by a debate introduced by Patrizia Lombardi, Vice Rector for Sustainable Campus and Living Lab, and moderated by Benedetta Pisani, Sustainability Office of Politecnico di Torino, featuring:
