MORPHEUS project | Final meeting

On Tuesday, 24 February 2026, at 2:00 p.m., the final meeting of the MORPHEUS - GeoMORPHomEtry throUgh Scales for a resilient landscape project will take place, with the aim of analysing the results achieved.

The project MORPHEUS - GeoMORPHomEtry throUgh Scales for a resilient landscape started in 2023 with the aim of providing improved tools and related guidelines for applying multi-scale and multi-temporal sediment connectivity analysis, based on geomorphometric techniques; proposing an approach that represents a novel paradigm in connectivity-related investigations, leading to a significant advance in knowledge.

Programme
  • 2:00-2:15 pm | Project overview CNR IRPI
  • 2:15-2:45 pm | UniPD: Geomorphic variations and sediment dynamics - catchments and events
  • 2:45-3:15 pm | CNR IRPI + PoliTO: Terraced Landscapes of Liguria (Italy): Effects on Sediment Transport and Shallow Landslide Distribution
  • 3:15-3:45 pm | PoliTO: High resolution DTM generation from UAS, multi-temporal variation detection and DoD
  • 3:45-4:15 pm | CNR IRPI: Sediment dynamics at the regional scale, processes, tools and novel approaches
  • 4:15-4:30 pm | Pause
  • 4:30-5:00 pm | Hands-on: software applications to real case part 1
  • 5:00-5:30 pm | Hands-on: software applications to real case part 2
  • 5:30-6:00 pm | Concluding remarks, open questions / discussion / interactions with students, stakeholders and participants

It is possible to participate in the meeting in the following two ways:
  • in person: at the Meeting Room of the Department of Environmental, Land and Infrastructure Engineering-DIATI (Corso Duca degli Abruzzi 24)
  • online: at this link.
