Career Boost 4PhD

During the PhD journey, it is natural to focus on research, often without having the time or resources to reflect on one’s professional future. However, the transition into the job market is not a predefined path, but one that must be gradually built: it requires self-awareness, the right tools, and a clear strategy. For this reason, Politecnico di Torino offers the Career Boost 4PhD program, designed to support PhD candidates in shaping their professional future.

The program provides concrete support to:

• recognize and enhance the transferable skills developed during the PhD;
• explore different professional fields and identify opportunities aligned with one’s profile;
• acquire practical tools to navigate the job market (crafting an effective CV, job interviews, networking);
• redefine one’s professional identity by gaining awareness of one’s own value.

The program does not aim to steer participants toward a specific career path, but rather offers an opportunity to reflect on their future and to leverage their skills in the job market. As such, it is suitable for the diverse profiles of PhD candidates at PoliTO.

Programme structure
Total duration: 24 hours
Format: 4 in-person sessions (5 hours each) + 2 online seminars (2 hours each)
Attendance: participation in all sessions is required.

At the end of the program, participants will have the opportunity to book a one-on-one session with a career coach to further explore their goals or improve their professional positioning.

• 27 February, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm – Aula Formazione
• 6 March, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm – Aula 17
• 13 March, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm – Aula Formazione
• 20 March, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm – Aula Formazione

Online

• 4 March, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm
• 25 March, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

Please note that all sessions will be held in italian.

The course has a limited number of places (maximum 25 participants) and selection is based on the order in which registrations are received.
