PoliTO Sports Day
On Thursday 2 October 2025, Politecnico di Torino hosts the historic Sports Day, an event organized in collaboration with CUS Torino that brings together the student community to share the emotions and values of sports. This year we are pleased to promote the new initiative called PoliTo Sporty Campus, created to integrate sports into university life: a starting point for an academic community always active, embracing physical and mental well-being with fun and collective participation.
Sports Day is also an opportunity to discover the initiatives the Politecnico of Torino dedicates to sport, such as the Dual Career program and the chance to join the PoliTo Sports Teams of football, rowing, volleyball, basketball, and tennis. More information available at this link.
To promote a balanced life-style and to address psychological and emotional distress among students, Politecnico di Torino has joined the SAMBA project, which involves several universities across Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta. During Sports Day, you’ll find the SAMBA on the Move cargo bike: a fun and inclusive way to discover your sport through active participation.
Programme
From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in the central courtyard of Corso Duca degli Abruzzi 24, you can explore various sports corners and try out activities such as basketball, tennis, badminton, dance, fencing and arm wrestling.
All first-year Bachelor’s students can collect a PoliTo “Sporty Campus” and CUS Torino branded t-shirt at Sala Emma Strada between 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
At 12:00 p.m, the 12th edition of the PoliTour Run kicks off: a 1-mile race through the corridors of the university.
From 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m students are invited in Sala Emma Strada where Dual Career program and PoliTo Sports Teams will be introduced.
