The PolyEthnic Choir for Liberation Day

A special concert to celebrate Liberation Day, remembering the struggles for democracy in Italy and Portugal through choral singing. A musical journey through memory, resistance, and freedom, symbolizing the unity of peoples and cultures.

PoliEtnico Choir founded in 2014 within Politecnico di Torino. PoliEtnico Choir brings together students, professors, researchers, and staff in a musical project that reflects the international nature of its community.
Its repertoire embraces musical traditions from around the world, in a sonic journey that expresses connection and sharing. As of 2024, the choir is conducted by Maestro Giuseppe Crea in collaboration with the Turin Conservatory.

Within the choir, Il Sedicetto, a chamber group, performs pieces of greater musical complexity under the direction of Maestros Matteo Gentile and Andrea Buonavitacola.

Camerata Vocal de Torres Vedras founded in 1982 in Torres Vedras (Lisbon), the Camerata Vocal de Torres Vedras is an ensemble of around 40 singers exploring a diverse repertoire ranging from jazz to traditional Portuguese music to Gregorian chant. The group has participated in numerous international festivals, receiving prestigious awards, including Silver in Prague in 2005 and Gold in Bratislava in 2017. Since 2000, it has been conducted by Maestro António Gonçalves.

ANPI Provincial Choir is active since 2012, the ANPI Provincial Choir of Turin preserves and passes on songs of the Italian and European Resistance, keeping historical memory alive through music. The choir sings in three parts – two female voices (sopranos and altos) and one male voice (tenors and basses combined) – and is conducted by Maestro Mauro Uberti.

An evening of music and remembrance to pay tribute to those who fought for freedom and to celebrate the values of democracy.
