TERRITORIAL INNOVATION - Methods, planning techniques, and case studies

Presentation of the book on Territorial Innovation: Methods, planning techniques, and case studies, edited by Carocci Editore, of Elena Battaglini, strategic process designer, focuses on sustainable development and ecological transition.

The event will also feature speeches by Patrizia Lombardi, professor of Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning-DIST and Vice Rector for Sustainable Campus and Living Lab, and Silvia Barbero, professor of Department of Architecture and Design-DAD.

Global crises have a number of key characteristics: they are place-based, they are neither stationary in their distribution
nor linear in their evolution, they have important knock-on effects, they systematically affect economies and organisations, and they have regressive socio-environmental impacts. To address these challenges, this volume introduces systems innovation into the Italian scientific debate, rooting its main concepts and methods in the theoretical framework of spatial co-design and bringing together action research on ecological innovation and participatory local development.
