1° “Paola Galeazzi” International yacht design contest - A boat that does not exist, but is buildable

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the existence of Barche magazine, the publishing house International Sea Press is holding a competition to award scholarships to those who will submit a design for a boat that doesn’t exist yet but is buildable. The competition will be dedicated to Paola Galeazzi, an architect who left an important legacy in the world of modern nautical design and architecture. Paola Galeazzi was a careful interpreter of the equation of form and function, to which she added an ethical afflatus, becoming herself a point of reference for all young designers. The competition will have an international character and will be open to anyone under 35 years of age. The Jury for this award will be composed of eminent figures in the field of nautical design and planning. The President of the Jury will be Professor Architect Giovanni Zuccon, co-founder with Paola Galeazzi of the Zuccon International Project. The other names will be revealed together with the announcement of the winners.

The graphic works must be sent by mail or courier exclusively to the office of the Competition Secretariat by noon on June 30, 2023, postmarked. A pre-registration is required containing all the candidate’s data (Name, Surname, date of birth, residence, email address and telephone number) to be sent by 30 May 2023 to redazione@barcheisp.it.
The contest secretariat is based at the editorial office of Barche, Viale Brianza 17/a, 20821 Meda (MB).
