During Ph.D. studies, the focus is on research, often leaving little time and resources to reflect on your professional future. However, the transition to the job market is not a predetermined path but something that you need to build step by step This requires awareness, the right tools, and a clear strategy.
For this reason, Politecnico di Torino offers the Career Boost 4PhD path, designed to support doctoral candidates in building their professional future.
This programme will help you to:
✔ Recognize and enhance the transferable skills that you developed during your Ph.D. studies
✔ Explore different professional fields and identify the opportunities that best match your profile
✔ Learn how to use practical tools (building an effective CV, interviews, networking).
✔ Redefine your professional identity being aware of your value.
The course is not intended to guide you towards any specific professional career. It rather helps you to reflect on your future and boost your skills. It is therefore suitable for all PoliTO Ph.D. candidates.
At the end of the course, you will have an individual interview with a career coach who can guide your decisions and enhance your professional positioning.
A new session of Career Boost 4PhD will be offered in the autumn of 2025.

Coaching is a partnership process that helps you achieve the goals defined with your Coachee.
To support your career development, you can consult a professional to discuss your professional goals and competencies.
You will have the opportunity to meet an occupational psychologist who will help you focus on a growth path and enhance your personal resources, supporting you in reaching your objectives.
The programme consists of four sessions, each lasting approximately one hour.
