Biography

Ph.D. in Energetics (earned at Politecnico di Torino), currently Assistant Professor at the same university within the Department of Energy and the interdepartmental center Cars@PoliTo. My work focuses on electrified powertrains for land-based passenger and freight transport, as well as for marine applications. In particular, I specialize in: - Design of optimization-based Energy Management Strategies for hybrid propulsion systems, including both road and marine transport; - Simulation and digital twinning of hybrid propulsion systems; - Thermal management systems for hybrid and electric vehicles; - Battery state estimation algorithms (e.g., state of charge and state of health) for propulsion systems; - Techno-economic assessment of alternative mobility solutions. I am also involved in teaching for the following courses: - Fluid Machinery, focusing on the study and off-design behavior of thermal, volumetric, and hydraulic machines, as well as power generation plants; - Energy Management in Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, covering the main methodologies for the design and analysis of energy management systems in electrified vehicles.
