Biography

Fabio Mazza received his M.Sc. in Physics of Complex Systems from Politecnico di Torino and a M2 degree in Physics from Université Paris VII – Denis Diderot (now called Université de Paris) in the context of a double degree program in 2019. He graduated with an intership on "Multiscale modeling of influenza viral emergence" in the EPIcx Lab in Paris, under the supervision of Chiara Poletto. He was admitted to the PhD Program in Physics at Politecnico di Torino, under the supervision of prof. Luca Dall'Asta, and he has since been working on inference techniques based on statistical physics, which can be applied to the context of epidemic inference.
His main research interests include statistical physics, complex networks, deep learning and reinforcement learning methods.
