Biography

Marta Lovino received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, respectively in 2015 and 2017. During the M.Sc. thesis, she focused on the bioinformatics field and she developed a pipeline to detect miRNAs (small non-coding RNAs with a crucial role in protein regulation) involved in different ovarian cancer subtypes. Since November 2017 she joined the EDA group as Ph.D. candidate working on software tools and pipelines for the analysis of genomics and proteomics data. Her main research interests are related to gene fusions, gene expression analysis, miRNA target prediction and gene regulatory networks.
