Biography

Lohic Fotio Tiotsop was Born in Cameroon in 1990. He received the M.S. in Mathematical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino. He is currently a Ph.D. student in Control and Computer Engineering at Politecnico di Torino since Nov 2018. His primary research interests are: advanced statistical methods and machine learning algorithms applied to a number of multimedia problems i.e., coding, transmission and perceived visual quality assessment.

Awards and Honors

  • I attended the 2021 AIROYoung Workshop ONLINE to present a scientific article (2021)
  • I was selected for the HVEI 2020 Student and Young Professional Showcase event to present my research in front of companies. I also won a travel grant for participation in the aforementioned event. (2021)
  • I have been the main data analyst and software developer in a joint research project, named "Hodor project", with SKY and affiliates. The research led to a software that is going to be internally used by the company as well as a research paper submitted to IEEE Access. (2021)
  • Certificate of attendance as speaker to the Pitch event by the Polito IEEE student branch (2021)
  • I attended the ICASSP 2020 conference ONLINE to present a scientific article (2021)
  • Description of my research plan with upcoming publications together with a short biography of mine (2021)
