Abstract
The project aims to provide data pertaining to the diffusion of digital infrastructure in Italian regions for economic assessment. The goal is to collect and create data on the diffusion of advanced digital infrastructure (e.g. high-speed broadband networks) at granular level to develop indicators to be used in economic analysis on the impact of digital technologies on several economic outcomes (such as local GDP growth, firm creation, firm productivity, labour), as well as to evaluate the effects of digitalization on sustainable goals and the economic system resilience. In line with the goal of the Spoke 5 target, we will provide indicators at province- and LLS- level over the period 2012-2021. At municipality-level, data will cover the share of households with access to UBB connections at 2021, disaggregated by connection speed. Final data will be provided in Excel or STATA format.
