Big data are central to the digital revolution, transforming data analysis and culturally influencing decision-making processes in society. SmartData@PoliTO was established in a context where digitalization and ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) have paved the way for massive data production and sharing. This complex, multidisciplinary landscape relies on the ability to extract useful information directly from data and interpret it to improve everyday life. In this setting, big data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) enable the discovery and analysis of deep connections within data, providing insights and decision support.
Goals
- Enable a new dimension of data
- Develop Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence
SmartData@PoliTO benefits from the HPC4AI Research Infrastructure, which leverages university expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and High-Performance Computing (HPC).
Research infrastructures are essential facilities, resources, and services used by the scientific community to conduct research and foster innovation.
