Duration: from a.a. 2024
Scientific Coordinator: Daniela Bosia
Project Type: Teaching
PoliTO Role: Project proponent / teaching
In the cultural context of accessibility, understood as the opportunity for everyone to enjoy places and participate independently in social life, the project aims to address and explore the issues of inclusion and the design of urban routes that are accessible and can be used safely and independently by people with motor and perceptual disabilities, with a view to creating cities that are fully accessible to all.
The aim of the course is to encourage students to reflect on the complex issue of accessibility and the different ways in which people with motor, visual, hearing and cognitive disabilities use space. Specifically, they will learn to define different user profiles and recognise architectural, urban, cultural and perceptual barriers.
