The Municipal Civil Protection Plan is the tool that defines the municipality's operating method for dealing with emergencies resulting from natural or man-made events, whether predictable or unpredictable, using the resources available. The main purpose of the document is planning. Planning means preparing during normal times to deal with emergencies in a coordinated manner, with all components of the civil protection system, developing operational procedures to be implemented in the event of a disaster being forecast and/or occurring, in order to prevent (and mitigate) its effects on people and property.
Based on information and data on the hazards and vulnerabilities specific to the territory, all disasters that could potentially occur are identified. These events are presented in the Plan through specific reference scenarios that illustrate, in detail, the expected causes and consequences.
The Civil Protection Plan was drawn up thanks to the joint work of the Department of Environmental, Land and Infrastructure Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Turin and the Civil Protection Department of the Municipality of Noli. This document is constantly updated, taking into account developments affecting the territorial structure and possible changes in the expected scenarios.
