In the cultural context of accessibility, understood as the opportunity for everyone to enjoy places and participate independently in social life, the course aims to address and explore, with a multidisciplinary approach, the themes of inclusion, usability and safety in the built environment, understood in a broad sense, with particular attention also to the opportunities offered by IT.
The course is offered by the research centre “TURIN ACCESSIBILITY LAB – Accessibility to Cultural Heritage & Safety and Usability of the Built Environment (TAL)” of the Department of Architecture and Design of the Polytechnic University of Turin, and contributions related to the scientific disciplines of the centre's teaching staff are expected.
Students must be able to understand the complexity of the issue of accessibility at different levels and in relation to different areas/contexts (environmental, urban, construction, services, information).
