Carlos Castro awarded at the Unite! Dialogue in Darmstadt
The tenth Unite! Dialogue closing plenary conference, held at TUDarmstadt on the occasion of the Alliance’s fifth anniversary, hosted a special Award Ceremony, presented for the first time to celebrate outstanding individuals from all nine partner universities, honoring their remarkable dedication and accomplishments in implementing Unite! ideas within their respective academic institutions.
Politecnico’s colleague Carlos Castro, outgoing Unite! project manager for PoliTO, was hence rewarded for his deep knowledge of the Alliance complexity, his continuous support to the communities’ activities, his significant contribution to team discussions and for actively motivating students to be engaged within the Alliance.
“It’s been quite the journey working in Unite! for nearly 5 years. – said Carlos Castro after receiving the award – I’ve met and had the chance to work with outstanding people both at PoliTO and at our Unite! partners. I’d like to thank our Rector Stefano Corgnati for having nominated me for the First Unite! Award which I gladly accepted during the closing ceremony of the X Unite! Dialogue at TU Darmstadt. I’d like to dedicate this award to all the PoliTO team that has made my work much easier (and made me look good over the years!). To them I say: remember you’re not at the center of but are part of a group that is trying to make a substantial difference in the European Education Area of the future.”
