Politecnico takes center stage at the 2026 Frecciarossa Final Eight
The 2026 Frecciarossa Final Eight returns to Turin, bringing together at the Inalpi Arena the eight best basketball teams of the 2025/26 Unipol Serie A at the end of the first half of the season.
After the 2025 edition, anticipation is building to see who will prevail in an event that every year delivers excitement, spectacle, and unexpected twists.
This year’s edition will introduce several new features, with an even stronger focus on young talents: on the court, with the Under-19 teams of Serie A clubs competing in the IBSA NextGen Cup Finals, and off the court, with a workshop dedicated to the themes of sport and education scheduled for Friday 21 at the J Hotel. The Politecnico di Torino will take part in the event to present the Polito Sporty Campus project and all the opportunities reserved for student-athletes.
In this context, once again the Politecnico will play a prominent role in a major international sporting event hosted in Turin. In addition to participating in the workshop, during the competition days at the Inalpi Arena there will be a dedicated area to present the Sporty Campus Project—designed to promote wellbeing and physical activity among students—and the Dual Career Program, which supports the university’s athletes in balancing their academic studies with their sports careers.
The Politecnico will also take to the court: on the afternoon of Saturday 21, during the Semifinal day, a team of student-athletes from our university will compete in the 3x3 exhibition tournament held in the foyer of the Inalpi Arena.
To experience the excitement of the Frecciarossa Final Eight LBA up close, and thanks to the collaboration with Lega Basket Serie A, all members of the Politecnico community can enjoy special discounted tickets. Specifically, for the single days of Wednesday and Thursday, grandstand access will be available for €8.00, and on Saturday for €20.00.
