Call for Papers: IEEE 5th International Conference on Intelligent Reality (ICIR 2026)

Call for Papers of the IEEE 5th International Conference on Intelligent Reality (ICIR 2026), which will take place at the Università di Pisa, on 25–26 June 2026.
Among the organisers, Fabrizio Lamberti, professor of the Department of Automation and Computer Science-DAUIN.

Topics
Intelligent Reality merges the physical and digital worlds, facilitating the coexistence and cooperation of humans and machines. It uses artificial intelligence (AI), along with technologies such as Digital Twins, IoT, Robotics, Blockchain, Wearables, and 5G technologies to accelerate workflows, create complex simulations, and enable advanced visualizations and real-time analytics. This combination allows for the seamless integration of Augmented, Virtual, and Mixed Reality (AR/VR/MR) into human activities, promoting widespread adoption.

Areas of interest for original contribution include, but are not limited to:
  • Emerging Technologies for Intelligent Reality (AI, ML, etc.)
  • eXtended Reality (XR)
  • Simulation and Digital Twins
  • Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS)
  • 3D Modeling, Scanning, and Reality Capture
  • Computer Vision and Graphics
  • Hardware, Software, and Devices for Intelligent Reality
  • Security, Ethics, Privacy, and Trust.

Deadline:
  • Full/Short Paper: 14 February 2026
  • Late-Breaking & Special Session: 5 April 2026
