Applications are open for the Challenge@PoliTo – Second didactic period (February – June 2026)

Applications are now open for the Challenge@PoliTo – Second didactic period (February – June 2026): each Challenge involves up to 30 Master's degree students from all areas of the Politecnico (Engineering, Architecture, Design and territorial Planning), divided into multidisciplinary teams to solve a challenge proposed by a company (_By Firms format) or chosen by the Politecnico (_By Students format).
The teams must work independently to develop and design a solution to the challenge, with the support of specialized mentors and under the supervision of a professor.

HOW TO APPLY:
In the "Opportunities" section of your personal page, you will find a new tab called “Challenge@Polito”.
Under the “Guidelines” column, you can read the general information and the full list of challenges, while on the right you will see only the challenges you are eligible to apply for according to your degree program.
You may apply for more than one Challenge, but you cannot indicate any preference order.

For _By Students only: If you already have a team with a project related to the Challenges _By Students’ topic, you can apply with your team: a team member must send an email to clik@polito.it with name, surname, ID student and Master's degree path of each team member. Multidisciplinarity is essential for the successful implementation of a project; the multidisciplinarity of existing teams will be assessed during the team training activity.

STUDENTS WHO HAVE ALREADY APPLIED
Students who have already applied for one of these challenges over the summer and received a confirmation email do not need to reapply. They are already enrolled.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION:
The application period closes on Monday, 2 February at 02:00 p.m. (CEST).
You will receive the outcome of your application by 13 February. Check your institutional email.

BEGINNING OF THE ACTIVITY:
Challenges will start from 23 of February 2026 (exact dates will be communicated together with the outcome).

IMPORTANT:
Each Challenge is worth 8 curricular CFUs and has different characteristics. Check your course catalogue to see the challenge and read the syllabus (how a Challenge is run, its duration and commitment).
This activity does not give you a final grade, it will be evaluated as passed/not passed.

CHALLENGE ON YOUR STUDY LOAD:
After the beginning of the activity and the definition of the teams, the Office of Student Services will include the Challenge in your APSP (Annual Personal Study Plan).
Successfully completing the Challenge, allows you to achieve the related Open Badge.
