Applications open for the CoDaS Master’s Programme
Supported by the Erasmus Mundus programme, the Master’s in Communications Engineering and Data Science (CoDaS) is jointly offered by five universities from the Unite! alliance. This means generous scholarships are available to students worldwide. Prepare now for the application period between 2 December 2025 – 12 January 2026.
The Master’s Programme in Communications Engineering and Data Science (CoDaS) is a two-year international joint degree offered by four Unite! universities (Aalto University, (Finland); Grenoble INP Graduate schools of Engineering and Management (France); Technical University of Lisbon (Portugal); and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain) with the Technische Universität Braunschweig (Germany).
In this Master’s Programme, students study at two universities in two different countries – one year at each. They can choose among four Home Universities (Aalto, Técnico Lisboa, TU Braunschweig, UPC BarcelonaTech) for their first year, and five Host Universities (Aalto, Técnico Lisboa, TU Braunschweig, UPC BarcelonaTech, Grenoble INP-UGA) for their second year.
The first-year studies are common to all partner universities and during the second year, students get to focus on their specialisation field based on their host university. Graduates receive a double degree, officially awarded by both universities where they have studied.
Programme objectives
The CoDaS programme equips students with advanced skills in communications engineering and data science — combining solid programming expertise, mathematical foundations, analytical thinking, and project management.
Students gain competencies in a wide range of areas, including:
