PHD Course - An Introduction to Drone Modelling and Optimal Control
Bruno Guerreiro, Tenured Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT) and researcher at CTS/UNINOVA, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (UNL), will lead a PhD-level course on drone modelling and optimal control.
Guerreiro’s research expertise includes sensor-based SLAM, nonlinear model predictive control (MPC) for helicopters, sensor-based control relative to infrastructures, laser automatic calibration, and helicopter dynamics and simulation, providing advanced knowledge in autonomous aerial systems.
The course, “An Introduction to Drone Modelling and Optimal Control”, will focus on Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) topics, with special emphasis on Radar Applications for Health Safety. The schedule is as follows:
