From Open Source to Bitcoin
On February 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the R2B classroom, Vincenzo Palazzo will share his journey from developing a simple Java Swing library to contributing to NASA's JMars project and becoming a Bitcoin Core maintainer. His story highlights the real-world applications of open source development, its impact across various fields, and the career opportunities it can unlock.
The event, organised by BitPolito, a student team from the Politecnico di Torino, will illustrate how community-driven development has transformed in recent years, exploring the challenges, opportunities and importance of open-source in emerging technologies and the digital economy.
