UNIGHT - European Researchers' Night 2024

For the third consecutive year in Turin, the European Researchers' Night returns: under the name UNIGHT, the event is organized by the Politecnico di Torino and the Università di Torino in collaboration with the Musei Reali and the alliance UNITA - Universitas Montium, with the support of the City of Turin and the Piedmont Region.

Given the success of the 2023 edition, this year the event will also take place in the enchanting setting of the "Musei Reali" over two days: Friday, September 27th, from 5 pm to midnight, and Saturday, September 28th, from 10:30 am to 7 pm.
The setup will unfold along seven thematic paths from "Piazzetta Reale" to the "Giardini Reali," featuring open-air workshops, science cafés, and games for all ages, while on the stage of the scenic Roman theater (Museo di Antichità), there will be performances and musical shows.

The themes will range from adaptation to climate change to human health, from cultural heritage to the frontiers of research, with the goal of encouraging active participation in the advancement of knowledge to improve its impact on our daily lives and collectively address the important future challenges concerning our health and the health of the planet.

The scheduled activities have been co-designed by multidisciplinary groups of researchers from Turin's universities and the many research centers that have been working since January to share their research with the public through fun and engaging activities.

UNIGHT also involves other locations in the city, with many museums open until midnight, such as the "Museo Egizio," "Xké? Il laboratorio della curiosità," the "Archivio e Biblioteca Storica di Ateneo 'Arturo Graf'" at the University of Turin’s Rectorate, and the University Museums of "Anatomia 'Luigi Rolando'" and "Antropologia criminale 'Cesare Lombroso.'"

UNIGHT 2024 will also take place in Cuneo and Savigliano at the University of Turin campuses.
