Bitcoin Empowers African Communities
On Tuesday, May 21st at 5:30 PM, we invite you to Aula R4 at the Politecnico for the screening of "Stranded: A Dirty Coin Short" a short film by Alana Mediavilla-Diaz, winner of the Independent Short Film Festival in Cannes. It tells the story of how Bitcoin mining is providing stable electricity supplies to rural African communities.
Following the screening, Rikki from the BIP Show will interview Janet Maingi, the co-founder of Gridless. The Kenya-based company develops small renewable energy plants, meeting the needs of local communities and using excess energy for mining.
The event will be in English.
To participate, please reserve your spot.
