Module Learning Objectives and Skill Acquisition
This module is structured in three parts. The first part provides basic concepts about sustainable development and emission reductions policies and framework with reference to: Kyoto Protocol, Paris Agreement, SDG (Sustainable Development Goals - Climate Action) and EU climate commitments and supporting legislation. The second part is focused on international standards for quantification and reporting of GHG emissions at Corporate level. The third part will focus on Product level carbon footprint including relevant standards supporting the Life Cycle Assessment perspective and CBAM, the EU Regulation pertaining the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. The fourth part will focus on Climate Commitment and offsetting strategies.
Drivers, processes and case studies will be presented.
Most lectures will be a combination of forma lectures followed by in class-discussions.
