Biography

I obtained the Laurea Triennale (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) in environmental engineering from Università degli Studi di Ferrara in October 2019 and the Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) in environmental engineering from Politecnico di Torino in October 2021. I started my research activity during the Master’s thesis under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Tiraferri investigating microalgae biomass water reuse possibilities through ceramic membrane filtration.
Starting from November 2021 I'm a 37th cycle PhD student in the field of membrane separation processes for water and wastewater treatments, focusing on pressure, thermal, and concentration driven processes to investigate zero liquid discharge solutions and resources recovery opportunities. During my second year as a PhD student I had the awesome possibility to visit for 5 mothes Prof. Andrea Achilli and Prof. Kerri Hickenbottom at University of Arizona (USA) to perform a collaborative research regarding the possibility of upscaling air gap membrane distillation systems.
