Biography
From November 2017, I joined the MiNES research group continuing my activities at Department of Electronic and Telecommunication inside Politecnico di Torino, with focus on bio-medical system, in particular the surface ElectroMyoGraphy (sEMG) one, based on event-driven approaches. During this period, the different projects in which I have been involved allowed me to start several collaborations: the Emerge one, which concerns the development of a wireless sEMG sensors network, is carried out in partnership with the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (Boston, MA); the MITOR project, which name symbolize the cooperation between Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Politecnico di Torino, was focused on realization of an sEMG system for the study of the muscle synergies; finally, the Erasmus + European Project MECA project experience improved my knowledge regarding lessons preparation for e-learning courses, working together with different European and Asian partners.
I started my PhD career in Electronic Engineering in November 2018, continuing to exploit the event-based techniques applied to the sEMG signals in different applications, which vary from the control of the functional electrical stimulation, muscle synergies analysis to neural-network actuator and prosthesis control. I spent four months (February - May 2019) at the Motion Analysis Lab, a Harvard Medical School research laboratory inside the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, to finalize the MITOR project and to improve the collaboration with these institutions.
