Biography

Giulia Delo is a PhD student in Aerospace Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Her project aims to develop a reliable Structural Health Monitoring technique using a population-based approach (PBSHM) for reducing failures and creating diagnostic systems across fleets of similar structures. In this framework, the research focuses on transferring data between so-called heterogeneous populations by adopting transfer-learning and domain-adaptation algorithms and assessing structural similarity via graph-based approaches. Additionally, the research program involves experimental activities on a heterogeneous population of small-scale aircraft models for validating the PBSHM approach.
