Biography
Matteo Baralis is a geotechnical engineer working at Politecnico di Torino since 2016. He got his Doctoral Degree in Civil and Environmental engineering in 2020 cum laude. His main research interest is shallow geothermal energy. In particular, area of expertise covers geothermal potential assessment in urban areas and thermal design of energy geostructures through the development of coupled numerical analyses. As a consultant, he worked on several projects including tunnels and piles design as well as mechanical design of buildings and infrastructures.
