The Master’s Degree Programme in Materials Engineering for Industry 4.0 offers a range of study tracks covering different areas of materials engineering, from the design, production and characterization of materials for structural and functional applications to advanced manufacturing technologies.
The programme also includes meta4.0, an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master focused on technologies and materials for advanced manufacturing, offering an international study experience developed in collaboration with European partner universities.

Taught mainly in Italian, the study track explores the design, production and characterization of materials for structural applications, where performance, efficiency, reliability and durability are essential requirements.
Particular attention is given to materials for the energy, transport, aerospace and mechanical engineering sectors, as well as to forming and processing technologies and numerical simulation tools used to predict their behaviour.
Taught mainly in Italian, the study track focuses on functional and smart materials, designed to respond to specific stimuli or perform advanced functions through their electrical, optical, magnetic and biological properties.
Particular attention is given to materials for electronic and biomedical applications, micro- and nanotechnologies, and techniques for characterizing and controlling material properties.
Taught entirely in English, this study track combines materials engineering education with the skills needed to address the challenges of advanced and sustainable manufacturing.
The programme covers materials design, the sustainability of manufacturing processes, statistical data analysis and technologies for joining dissimilar materials, alongside topics in economics and business organization.
