Students enrolled in Electrical Engineering – System Design track, have the opportunity to obtain a second Master's Degree in Energy and Nuclear Engineering in just one year, as part of the Twin Track programme.
Admission to the second Master’s degree is subject to the inclusion of the following modules in the first-year curriculum of the Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering:
- 01DSWXU Fundamentals of Energy Technologies (6 ECTS)
- 01DSUXU Fundamentals of Energy Conversion, Transport and Storage (6 ECTS)
The second Master’s degree in Energy and Nuclear Engineering will involve the following curriculum:
- 01TWIXY Energy management and automation in buildings (6 ECTS)
- 01QGXXY Polygeneration and advanced energy systems (10 ECTS)
- 01QGXXY Thermal design and optimisation (12 ECTS)
- 01TWUXY Elements of nuclear engineering (8 ECTS)
- 01TVHXY Energy storage (6 ECTS)
- 01TVCXY Solar thermal technologies (8 ECTS)
- Master’s thesis (10 ECTS)
Admission to the second Master’s Degree in Energy and Nuclear Engineering will be possible, from the 2026/2027 academic year, through the credit transfer mechanism, in a similar manner to the transition from the Bachelor’s to the Master’s Degree.
