Abstract
SCoolAir is a citizen science initiative aimed at making the relationships between outdoor and indoor microclimate visible, combining scientific measurements and participatory self-tracking in an innovative way. SCoolAir will collect valuable data for scientific research, including the validation of dispersion models and the correlation between air quality, thermal conditions and students' experiences, while raising awareness about the interplay between indoor and outdoor environmental factors. The project has two main objectives: first, to educate students on microclimate monitoring, sensor development, environmental sciences, and the impact of air quality and thermal comfort on well-being, by developing a curriculum in collaboration with teachers that can be adopted by other schools in the future; second, to create a process that makes environmental conditions visible, guided and materialized by the school community.
